Description: The Original California Water BladeTM revolutionized the way that cars are dried after washing. The very idea of using a device that looked like a squeegee to replace chamois and towels to dry your car was unique. The popularity of The Original California Water BladeTM created the need for a more affordable version, which still takes advantage of the silicone construction and the vital patented T-bar edge. Both have been incorporated in the new economy version of the Water BladeTM.

Pros: Cuts drying time in half, no scratches, simple.
Cons: no good in small areas such as mirrors and the side scoop/gills area.

I never had this when I had my C3 or C4 but it seemed to take me twice as long to dry my C5. With the water blade it takes no time at all. I don't have to worry about water spots anymore. This is actually my second one, the first one was taken away by the neighbors dog and lost forever. I "had" to get another before I would wash the car again LOL. This is hands down better than any chamois i've ever used. I highly recommend it.

Pros: None
Cons: Expensive squeegee

Absolutely useless on curved surfaces and in small spaces. Only place where it works well is on the glass but at a cost of 10X a squeegie.

Pros: Does a fast job with no spots on most of the car.
Cons: Hard to get around mirrors and tight corners.

I watched a guy use it on his 62 Vert, I asked him a few questions and then bought one. Takes a few times to get used to it.

Pros: Quick and perfect on glass
Cons: Requires a developed technique; too big for some areas

The pic is of the newest gen of this product. I still have the last gen with the bigger round, easy to hold, but hard plastic handle. I've used this for at least three years. The more water beads, the better it works. I used it on about 90% of my 18+ year old C4 paint and glass, but only on the top and the glass of my 07 C6. It would probably be ok on the C6 Mont.Red, but I can't bring myself to abondon the chamois on that paint.

Use normal squeegee technics - start at the top of the windshield and slightly overlap as you work your way down horizontally. I put duct tape on the ends of my handle to assure that the edge would not bump into and ding the mirror or edge of the hood as you complete each sweep. I find that nothing can touch the quality of the results in the same abount of time. Keep your chammois near to blot up the nooks that the blade cannot reach and for "left-overs."

Great product.

Pros: Fast
Cons: can be hard on curves or small areas

This is a good product. It will take most water off your car pretty fast. I still go over mine with a towel just to get the spots it leaves behind. Whats really nice is I can get away with just one towel now, not the 2 or 3 I used to have to use.
