Dont know if you got it solved already, or if it applies to your year of car, but even with its intended operation, an egr can cause a misfire during no load or cruizing, and normal function otherwise. Happened to a truck of mine with a 350. Hope to not sound like a noob cause Im not sure if yours has a vacuum egr or not.

If it smokes it is a bad cam lobe but if it is a 350 in there I would just let it do. I had a bleed down done on my 79 and the mechanic told me the cam was bad. Then Y can I turn those 265's on the azz end with a 195 Hp? Might be the carb loading up too.

quick up date the guy with the big mustache and french hat he weres a beret i think jaime when you watch other episodes theres a 87 in the parking lot thats white and same color int as the experiment car he did not sell it for to grand he cleaned the car out really good and put a brand new compleate int in it and he drives it in the other shows that you watch you see it in the parking lot or garage in the very first few episodes just watch when they do experiments in front off there home base two grand 4 that i could have gotten 10500 for mine that was in the same shape the only diff was mine had real fact zri rims brushed aluminum Rating: 6.00

get the belt issue squared away so you can lose with no excuses.. from a dead stop,the stang would lose even worse. Cobra SVT 12.9 in the 1/4,even a c5 zo6 is faster than that.

that had to be the stock irs in it most older vettes that pull 700 or more hp they put a solid axel in the rear like a 9 inch rear if that ids was original it definitley was not shot peened and beefed up those taillights were cool joe rosen used to sell them in long island they are priceless today
