Will meet at Staples at 8:30 and pull out at 8:45 sharp to drive to Charlotte to meet up with other North and South Carolina Corvette Clubs.
Will meet up with the other Vettes at Steele Creek Masonic Lodge (13611 Steele Creek Road, Charlotte, NC)
After lunch members of the Metrolina Corvettes will be leading planned cruise routes around the piedmont area - twists and turns on back roads.
Will be plenty of photo opportunities on these routes.
We'll end the day with an ice cream stop.

Do you know what routes we are taking?

I honestly have no idea. They are supposed to be getting us a copy of the route soon. I will let you know as soon as I know.

We start out on Rt 160 heading south or towards Rt 49. Turn right onto Rt 49 heading towards Lake Wylie. Cross the Buster Boyd Bridge and travel about 3-4 miles or until you see the intersection of Rt 274, Rt 557 and Rt 49. You’ll see a Bi-Lo, Wendy’s and a Burger king. Go straight onto Rt 557. Stay on Rt 557 until it runs into Rt 55. Turn right onto Rt 55 heading towards Clover. Stay on Rt 55 until it meets Rt 161 where you turn right. Maybe a mile up the road look for the Kings Mountain State Park sign on the left. Turn left onto Park Road, there is a nice grassy area with a split rail fence. Possible photo op there. Travel along Park Rd until it becomes Rt 21.

Turn right onto Rt 216/ Rt 29 which brings you through Kings Mountain. Rt 216 is County Line Road. Continue on Rt 216 to Rt 274 where you turn left onto Rt 274 heading towards Cherryville. Stay on Rt 274 until Rt 27. Turn left onto Rt 27 which brings you to Red Bone Willy’s. Good stop. Pull out of Red Bone Willy’s and turn left on Rt 27 which is now Poe Rd. Turn right onto Rt 10 and look immediately for Allran Rd. Turn left onto Allran Rd. Next turn left onto the Old 18 Rd which is our twisty special. This is about 15 miles long or so and you’ll come up to Petersburg where you’ll see an elementary school. This is where you can turn around and do it again.

At the end of Old 18, look for Allran Rd, turn right and then right again on Hwy 10. Immediate left on Poe Road which is also Rt 27. Stay on this toward Lincolnton. Come into town at the couRthouse square, veer to the right at yield sign the right again on the next street which is US 321 Business/Gastonia Highway. Stay on this road to the intersection at US 321 South toward Gastonia. Now it’s Rt 321 to I85 north towards Charlotte. Once on I85, get on the I485 outer loop or heading towards Pineville. Next get off onto Rt 160 (Ft Mill exit) and turn right off the exit. Head down to the lodge and get ready for some ice cream.
