I went to Sears yesterday to get a new spare tire, and happened to mention that the 72 needed alignment. The guy said they can do it for $99 So I had it done. Got a print out of before and after too. I've paid over $200 at a Chicago Vette shop in the past. So I asked the guy if all Sears auto centers can do it and he said yes, it's in their book.

I've had bad luck with Sears.....
But you can't go wrong if you get the printout!!!
The Chevy Dealer I'm moving to does 4 Wheel Alignments for $89.00 The specs are programmed into the Alignment machine (Hunter)

4 wheel for $89? Damn, I can't even get a 4-wheel done for less than $140.
In Ohio They charged $99.
Things are a little cheaper down here

So, would it be fine to take my rear wheels into a tire place... get new tires on them and then put them on the car myself and drive in for an alignment at a garage I trust. I know those Tire Places with torque the HELL out of the lock nuts....I've had past experience with my Boss's truck, 3 hours to get off one lock nut!!! Long story :whip: It was an even longer day :stick:

Why not buy your new tires from the Tire Rack and let the shop you trust mount them????

This is exactly what I did. Although I bought my tires from Summit. I have a friend that does tires and brakes. He mounted my tires. Then I drove the car to an alignment shop that I trust. The guy will even let you watch him work. If you help though, it will cost you double.

About 45 minutes.
I bought the last 6 of 7 tires from the Tire Rack. Got great prices:cheers: This time Sears had the tire at the same price so I went there.
