Believe it or not I am having a tough time finding a good Vette club to join here in Southern California. Anyone know of a good club or had an experience with one of the local clubs. Any suggestions.

Thanks

I really don't know much about them being that I've only been a Vette owner for the past 2 weeks. But I've seen them up here in Big Bear once each year for the past 9 years. "Covettes West" Here's their web address: http://www.corvetteswest.com/

Thanks for the information. I used to visit Fawnskin every summer and also have seen the Vettes come up every summer for their large gathering. I will contact Corvettes West and see what I can find out. Thanks again.

The major/most active clubs:

Corvettes Limited of Los Angeles

Arcadia, CA 91066
213-257-4346

Corvettes of Southern California - NCCC
Arthur Huhta
PO Box 3603
Anaheim, CA 92803

(I beleive this is one of the oldest Corvette clubs in existence.)

Orange County Vettes - NCCC
Walt Willard
PO Box 414
Orange, CA 92666
714-970-8379

Pacific Coast Corvettes
Ted Sickles
PO Box 1758

949-770-0082
Email: Ted Sickles

(I believe Ted was active in the NCM caravan last year.)

Pomona Valley Corvette Association
Ernie Aguilar
PO Box 704
Pomona, CA 91769
Email: Ernie Aguilar

And if you are a purist or fanatic:

NCRS So Cal Chapter
8484 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills, CA. 90211
310-278-2000
Membership Chairman, Darold Shirwo

(My preference to date.)

I'd suggest you attend as many Club events as you can. Get a feel for the Club's "corporate" culture. Then join one that fits your lifestyle.

Excerpt from our Website.

Greetings,

Welcome to the web site of the world’s first and oldest Corvette Club, the Corvette Club of
America, Inc (CCA). Our founders started the “Corvette Hobby” with their first meeting on July 17, 1956. The Corvette Club of America started with about 25 members and has grown to over 200 members. Our primary goal is to have fun together while enjoying our Corvettes. We strongly believe in the “American way”, which is to have the freedom to pursue the activities that will generate the highest levels of fun. Our activities include social events, car shows, and racing events. Our members have the freedom to choose to participate in only those activities that they want to. Our social events include brunch and dinner cruises, and pool and holiday parties. CCA sponsors “fun” and “Concours” car shows, as well as participating in other shows sponsored by other clubs. CCA sponsors race events and also attends other club’s racing events, participating in drag racing, autocrossing, and circuit racing.
