I don't know what is going on during the winter with the Chicago folks but if anyone is interested in having any meetings or a place to cruise to, Good Time Charlie's would more than welcome you guys.

This was the restaurant that my dad was supposed to have open for the Airport Cruise-In but he was a 1.5 months too late. I can say without any favoritism that the place is excellent. Its a seafood (easily best in the area), italian, and cuban restaurant that has a carribean atmosphere. It also has a back room that can seat 160 people. It also has a stage for live band, karaoke, or meetings.

Its located off of Rt 52 in Manhattan, approx 4-5 miles from Howell Airport. If anyone is interested in having any meetings or just a place to get some good food, we'd be glad to have ya.

For those interested, here are directions:

Last night, around 1am or so, the main entrance to the shopping center caught on fire. It didn't burn the whole building down but most of the roof area. There is a lot of damage. Every unit and business got some sort of damage but I think the restaurant beared the brunt of it. The upstairs office is completely gone, the murals on the walls and the skin of the plane's wing are destroyed, one of the paintings near the entrance got a little water damage, everything has soot, etc. Its just a mess. They think it may have been caused by a recessed halogen lamp (I think, I'll have to double check on that). Insurance will cover the damage but the restaurant will be closed for a good 3 months because of this. :cry

If my mom gets some pictures, I'll get copies and show you guys. In like 2 weeks, Manhattan will be having Irishfest and we'll have a tent and have samples of the food, so if you guys are interested in that at all, you're more than welcome to stop by. I'll be there giving my parents a hand.
