EFI-1 02-23-2005, 11:16 PM Spent the latter part of my afternoon working on my Z.
1) Started off with Dawn to strip off as much of the NXT as possible
2) Dried her off with my 215 MPH Leaf blower
3) Used Adam's detailing spray and claybar kit to remove all remnant contaminants and residual wax
4) Applied a mixture of Adam's Scratch & Swirl Remover and Revive Formula and flashed the whole car
5) Used Adam's #2 metal polish and worked on the iForged lips
6) Removed the swirl & revive flash with Adam's detailing spray
7) Applied Adam's Butter Wax to the whole car and let it flash while I removed the #2 metal polish with the detailing spray
8) Removed the Butter Wax with Adam's Detailing Spray
9 & 10) Gawked and Stared at the wonderful finish and depth of the paint....never thought the factory paint could look so good.
I was always impressed with Zaino but it was too hard to get ahold of; so I made the switch to Meguiars NXT formula, and while it looked great, it definitely wore off too fast. So after some research and talking to other enthusiasts, I emailed Adam and ordered one of his detailing kits. It came well packaged but one of the bottles of detailing spray came in damaged from shipping. Upon my notifying him of the damaged product, Adam immediately gestured to send out a new container of detailing spray to which (despite my multiple turn downs) he insisted in sending. Quality guy and after seeing the results first hand, definitely a quality product. My hats off to you Adam.
Just thought it'd be fair to provide some positive feedback for a truly impressive product. Adam's Polishes....I'm definitely a convert! Here are some pics. None of them are touched up or sharpened....just resized to 1024 x 768.
Aloha, Dave

After seeing how great your car looked with the NXT, I went right out and bought both bottles, wax and spray.
I have not had the chance to put the NXT on yet (8 inches of snow forecast for tonite:bang ) but I'm wondering if you used the NXT Spray over top of the NXT Wax? (I'm under the impression that it is a two part system. ) Now you say "it doesnt last"? I'm not so sure I want to change from my Pinnacle Wax system if that's the case.:(
EFI-1 02-24-2005, 01:42 AM Flooznie, I think I will shortly become a forum vendor here for Adam's....gotta talk with Pat. I will be the Hawaii distributor in the next couple of weeks, under EFI Unlimited LLC. If you're interested, I can look into getting you hooked up. There is an informational DVD included that will have you looking like a pro the first time.
RF, Pinnacle is good stuff as well as Zaino. I must say that the shine from the NXT is impressive for the $$$ and is very easy (1 step) to use. However after my initial impression, I have had much time to evaluate the longevity of the product. I drive my car about 2 times a month at best. Believe it or not, everytime I took it out, I washed it and everytime I washed it I found the NXT was worn off in another area.
I am confident in this product (I must be to become the distributor in Hawaii). I have been using the products for over a year in actuality, but this is the first I've applied the whole system correctly.
davevette 02-27-2005, 01:33 PM I see that I'm not the only one to clean my car like that!!
I want it to be super clean all the time and spend hours and hours on it every two weeks!
Please guys, where could I order ZAINO on the net?
I heard it has some great results and I want to use it since the nice days are coming!!

Matt, I am setting up a vendor package with Patrick for this site. You can wait for that, which should be up in a couple of weeks or you can email me now and I can set you up.
Aloha, Dave
Looks nice.I'm curious to see your opinion on the durability after a wax or two.Glad you posted the NXT results as well. This climate is brutal on waxes and polymers.Zaino held up the best by far,but i agree it's hard to get here,i don't even think Joey sells Zaino anymore,if so,i don't have his new number.
I might become a customer,i haven't been to your house since you moved, would like to check out the finish in person.Maybe i'll just buy some from you and test it out.
I tried some mothers #23 carnuba (i think thats the number),3 days later it must have evaporated, there was a weird yellow tint on the finish.
I'd like to find a good product thats easy to get,so when i finally paint her,i will have my supplies in habd with confidence in the product.
Thanks for the post..oh,can Adams be used on decals,?I'm going with the ss stripe decals in that thread i posted.

I just came from the website and I was
really impressed. You guys in CA and the
S. West should have no problem finding this
stuff (dealers become more rare the futher
east you go and dissapear entirely in the N. East)
(hint: GS84, this looks like a good place for
you to jump in for the extra income you have
been talking about! )
The wax is a combination carnuba and polymer
wax, which seems to be the way to go these days.
Like other products of this type, they reccomend the
detail spray be used often
The have a lot of real good videos there too that
every one could check out. Even if your not
interested in the products now, it might change your
mind.
A very interesting set of products, but I only have
EFI's pictures to go by right now, but I will be looking
into it before the end of summer. If nothing else,
I have found a source for real thick buffing pads!!
Adams (http://www.adamspolishes.com/)
I'll have to check the site.I do want to see the car in person since pictures are hard to judge.
Also some waxes and polymers say not to use on decals. And i will definatly be putting on the ss stripe decals.Thats probably my only issue right now.Zaino is just to hard to get now.
To bad too,i wanted to try the "new" zaino.Oh-well.They could make it much easier to get ahold of.Since they don't,i will change brands.
EFI-1 02-27-2005, 09:27 PM Todd, I'd be happy to meet up with you the next time I take the car out.....the finish is killer. I'll be bringing in a pallet sometime in the very near future so hang in there.
