July 10th, Club Corvette of CT annual show

I didn't see this on the list anywhere. I hope it is not a dupe. These guys put on a kick a$$ show! It is at Moroso Performance in Guilford, CT. Here is a link to CCC's web site. Club Corvette of Connecticut (http://www.clubcorvettect.com) Hope everyone can make it!

I'll be there! Although my cars not nearly clean enough to enter the show! :D (especially after driving 5 hrs back to CT from PA the previous day...)

Can you postpone it 'till the 16th?..........I'll be lurking in the neighborhood on and after that date.

I am gonna stop by & check it out but decided not to enter this year as they will make me compete in custom against New cars. :( I always get a trophy for "runner up" or "Award of excellence" when I attend that show!:( I wish they would break custom into years like all the other classes (c-1's, c-2's, c-3's, c-4's, c-5's)...Kinda sucks entering my 1984 against 2005's with bolt ons especially cause its a cleaning contest & lets face it most 2005's are cleaner then my 1984....And I am a anal clean freak!:whip:
If I try to enter in any other catagory besides Custom or Show I have other Vette owners complaining!:nuts:
Last year at the Moroso Show the owner of Corvette Center of Newington came up to me & said I really like what you did with your car!:excited: To me that meant way more then any trophy!:partyon:
Anyways it is a great show & I will be there to check out all the nice cars but do not plan on showing the Fake Sport...Maybe I will bring my 90 Vert & park it in the For Sale section!:thumbsup: How much will it be to park in the for sale section?:huh:

Well it was a pretty good show today and very big! I have never seen that many Vettes in one place!:surprised Like most Vette shows it was a show & shine, or as I like to call it, "clean freak contest"- where the judges base everything on the cars cleanliness, and almost nothing on it's modifications or uniqueness.:rolleyes: I just got back last night from a 600+ mile round trip to PA for a Halltech and tune, so needless to say my car was filthy, plus, it's a daily driven car and it shows. So I washed it quick and waxed the hood and rear clip before the show...

I had sand on the carpets, gunk in the inner rims, tar spots on the rear clip, and a super dusty engine bay. I did not expect to win anything... and that is exactly the vibe I got from the judges.:lookinup:

Funny thing is, I took home 1st place for the 2005 modified/ show class!:D Now I know how the actors feel at the Academy Awards when they really don't expect to win!:laughing:

I had the most amount of mods and the dirtiest car, ironic...:D


I have pics of the highlights, but I can't convert them to post on this sight, any help?
