"Corvette 3D Experience" to be the first 3D documentary about the Corvette
( OFFICIAL PROJECT UPDATE HERE )

PRESS RELEASE
CORVETTE 3D EXPERIENCE TO BE THE FIRST 3D DOCUMENTARY ABOUT THE CORVETTE
-- CORVETTE 3D EXPERIENCE LAUNCHES CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN ON INDIEGOGO.COM --
(ARIZONA - June 8, 2011) Onset3D Studios today announced their flagship project, "Corvette 3D Experience", and it's crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo.com the world's leading international funding platform. ( www.indiegogo.com/Corvette3D )
Corvette 3D Experience will be a groundbreaking documentary spanning all six generations of the legendary Corvette filmed entirely in high definition 3D.
Utilizing the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky, as the premier authority and resource, Corvette 3D Experience will examine the evolution of the Corvette since its inception in 1953.
Corvette 3D Experience will also explore the lasting appeal of the Corvette to owners and enthusiasts, and it’s ability to firmly claim title to America’s Sports Car.
Currently in pre-production, the Corvette 3D Experience will need a minimum of $195,000 to begin principle photography, and will be produced/directed by Patrick Gramm, and produced/created by Philip Angelotti.
Award winning independent producer Philip Angelotti says, "3D production costs more money because of the equipment and crew expertise required… and pretty much every facet of the production is going to take extra time compared to traditional filmmaking… but to do the Corvette justice, I can't see doing it in any other way but in 3D."
Director Patrick Gramm has created several Corvette web TV series, as well as one of the largest and most successful online Corvette enthusiast communities in the world. Gramm says, “Corvettes have always been a passion of mine, and I am absolutely thrilled to play a part in creating the first 3D documentary on the Corvette. The end product should be a great fit for the upcoming 24/7 3D channel from Sony, IMAX and Discovery.”
Acknowledging the fierce odds of achieving financing for an independent documentary on Corvettes, Gramm and Angelotti chose to move forward with the project through the non-traditional approach of crowdfunding, and are reaching out to fellow Corvette enthusiasts to make the Corvette 3D Experience a reality.
A special theatrical version of the Corvette 3D Experience will be produced exclusively for the National Corvette Museum for public showing, offering the museum a new attraction and an additional revenue source.
The program endeavors to garner national exposure and offer a resurgence of interest in both the Chevrolet Corvette and the National Corvette Museum.
Supporters of their crowdfunding campaign will get perks ranging from the Corvette 3D Experience 2-disc set on HD Blu-ray 3D and tickets to the Premier, to having their Corvette featured in the documentary. A list of perks can be found on their crowdfunding page at: ( http://www.indiegogo.com/corvette3D ).

This looks awesome! One question though. If for some reason you don't raise enough money or the project doesn't go thru, do we get a refund on our contributions?

Great question.
This project is green lit. It's a go. Corvette 3D Experience will be made. It's our hope that we can raise the $195,000 during this campaign. If not, it will take longer to raise it. That will only delay filming, and ultimately its release date.
We hope you'll support getting this done sooner than later!

Seriously,. I have to take care of some $tuff first, but I will kick in.
I was involved with a similar crowd funding project, and it worked out very well.
