Service engine soon light.
Hey guys. I thought this was because I didn't reset my oil life. Did it twice. Every time I drive the service engine soon message come on the dic. There are no codes, and no check engine light just that message. Is there something else maintenance wise that the ECM monitors. Btw 100000 miles on the clock if that makes a difference

Ok I tried something different my scanner only shows active codes for the engine. Apparently through the dic I have an active code in the HVAC unit.
This is the code HVAC b0333
Also. 58 sdm no communication. Anyone know what that means?

B0333 Outside Air Temp Sensor Open
Have you been messing around with the radio bezel??
If you have been in the Radio Climate Control area, there is a yellow plug that connects to the SDM. This is your airbag system. Messing with the steering wheel or the radio area can create this message!!!

That's good to know I removed the stock wheel and installed a race wheel with a air bag delelet resistor. How ever the code that keeps coming back is the HVAC code. Is that the sensor by the front of the car or the one next to the steering wheel? The race wheel has been in for about a year. The service message is new.

Yes, that is the sensor on the front RH side of the skid. You need to make sure that it is plugged in. If you are having that failure, you should also have the dual zone climate control HVAC unit. On the digital display, the temperature should be reading incorrect. Is this so? Also, what is the voltage reading of your battery with the car running?

also compare the actual temp outside to what the HVAC display says- that is an easy way to tell if it is working or not. I just replaced mine a few months ago, cost like $10.

Ok played with it today found two active codes 1 in HVAC and 1 in tcs.
The tcs code is c1281
HVAC code is b0333
Could both codes and my 58 sdm communication problem be completely caused by the 58 sdm problem. ? When I get a chance prob Tuesday. I'm going to check the battery, and behind the bezel.

What is the code in your Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM)?
You still haven't answered the questions that I posted earlier. I can't help if you don't respond.

LOL I did say I was going to check it Tuesday. Although I never noticed the dual climate control actually showed outside temp. But as far as the sdm there is no codes, its a no communication issue.

Then your outside temperature sensor is bad. I'm surprised that your AC even works. It's an easy fix and cheap too as Hardcore pointed out.
