My new favorite GM color
I would've ordered it the same exact color combo, very nice Mr. Smiley.

Thanks, everyone! Yeah, I've got my Adam's Americana Wax waiting to go on there, but I've always heard you need to give the paint a few weeks to cure before waxing. Anybody know the straght scoop on that? Is that still necessary with the modern paints?

Factory paint is cured before it leaves the factory, so you are good to go. Better clay bar that finish, then go with your favorite Adams routine.
I would clay, fine machine polish with the PC, machine sealant, glaze, then wax.

Sounds good. I get more than my share of bird droppings parked at work, and if I don't have a fairly fresh coat of wax on there, it eats into the paint in a way that won't buff out. So, I want to get it protected ASAP. Thanks!

Congrats Tex!
Any reason you didn't go w/the GS or a vert this time for something a little more different?

Never have liked the vert top up look and 99% of my driving would be top up. As for the GS, I don't like the big fenders $10-15k more.

I took part of your advice. I didn't clay bar it because I used Junkman's plastic bag test and it was smooth as a baby's butt. Probably hasn't spent much time on the lot. So I did the Adams Brilliant Glaze followed by Adams Americana Wax. I wanted to get it protected from the bird droppings I get so often at work. Here are some after pictures followed by an unreal highly processed picture that is a combination of three exposure. The car doesn't look like that, but it's kind of a cool pic.

Just saw this thread Tex and wanted to say congrats and I really like the color you picked. I am a huge fan of the way the 2012-2013 seats look. Do they feel any better than the ones in the 09? Enjoy!
