71 conv LS1 questions
Short preface... Dad couldn't drive his vette 'cause brakes were crap and fuel smell front and back and needed a arm bushings. Brought it to my shop to fix it so he could drive it...
So my quick question, will rack and pinion power steering fit with an LS1 with a camaro oil pan? I've read the LS1 build threads so many times that I can't remember where I saw mention of this .
Yes a brake job has turned into a full blown LS1/T56 project. It is a '71 conv, 350/auto/air/PS car, non original 350 so no big value, it'll be better with the GTO LS1! ...and brakes and steering and suspension etc...
I wouldn't even have started in this direction before I saw this forum! I plan on having Dad (he's 78 yrs young) back in his car by summer. Advice appreciated,
Bill

Yes the rack will fit with the LS1 Camaro pan. If you have anymore questions please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the swap or need parts. We have a full line of every part needed to complete the swap.
Good luck!

Sounds like you have a great project underway, there is a lot of great info here on the forum about each one of your needs, lots of us have been through these same projects and have shared our builds here on the forum.
You have also been contacted by one of the best here on the forum about all of your needs, josh at custom image is your best source for all your needs.
I hope you start a build thread for Guys like myself that would love to follow with great interest.
Riggs.

I may start a build thread Riggs, it may not be done as well as the others on this forum, I have trouble getting pics from droid to linux box to windows computer. I'll probably post most pics from my phone, it takes better photos than my dig camera anyway. This won't be a body off resto, but I'll paint the engine bay and suspension bits etc... Main thing is I want Dad driving this thing by summer. Josh will definitely be getting a call!
