So what you're saying is that the next update will be in 2 years. Keep in mind, real court is not like Law & Order; it ain't over in an hour.

Best of luck man, this needs to be made right by GM.

I've spent nearly $400,000 on attorneys in the last 7 years. I'm well aware of that slow moving universe. One company I sued the case took 5 years.

So is the amount you'll spend, minus what they offered, worth it... outside of doing it for the principle?

Once again, I hope you achieve the outcome you desire.

Nope. I'll end up losing money, for sure. But, I'll win.

Interesting. GM countered again this morning. Still not where it needs to be, so we'll be counter-countering. Again.

If they compensated you for the grief and inconvenience, you'd get a total refund plus a new Suburban.

Makes you wonder whether this corporation gives a shit about the product. When the entire dash electronics went out in my 04 2500, it took 3 months before GM admitted a problem existed. Come to find out a service bulletin was issued.

Don't they know an entire community is watchin?

What are you looking for? Refund of the car, of car + expenses incurred, or something else?

I'll go more into details on that when things are settled... which should only be a matter of weeks at this pace.

There's a lot that I've learned from this process already and I can't wait to share... in case you guys are ever in a similar situation.

Can you get me a new washer fluid tank for my '03 vette while you're at it?

Good for you having the wherewithall to stand up to them. I'm certainly interested in how this plays out.

Alright, post-poned settlement negotiations because the Suburban needed another trip back to the dealer.

Issue #1 was to troubleshoot why on earth it was low 4 quarts of oil last time and no "low oil" light ever came on to let me know that.

Guess what? They tell me that Chevrolet cancelled the oil level sensor in 2008 and no light will ever come on to tell you it's low on oil!

SERIOUSLY?

Issue #2 was when I had to make an emergency stop in the truck a few days ago, it dang near stalled the engine .... then the RPM's jumped all over the place... then it was fine. Turns out the throttle body needed cleaning, again.

I'll send this repair order over to my attorney then we'll get back to negotiations.

Stay tuned.

i would guess that is why they put oil dip sticks on the engine.
