I feal the point has been made that no Rebublican could get elected today, the fix is too big. This country is officialy rulled by free loaders and now proven people too lazy to vote

I disagree. I think Colin Powell could have defeated Obama easily has he not been screwed over by the Bush administration.

I think Powell pissed too many people off with his Obama endorsement of 08.
Now Condi could have mopped the floor with the guy.. but she is way too smart to jump in this kind of fray.

Anyone who thinks this scenario doesn't play out millions of times a year has their head in the sand. I volunteered at a church food and clothing pantry for 13 years collecting and distributing food and clothing to the needy. Hundreds and hundreds of times I saw four generations of women come to the pantry together: A 45 year-old great grandmother, one or more 30 year old grandmothers, a couple of 15 year old moms and babies - along with all of their kids to collect a car (or two) full of free stuff. They know how to live off of the free stuff offered around the county in addition to their government checks. There was rarely a man to be seen with these groups. This is the permanent entitlement class you read about. I worked with them regularly for over a decade. I did have sympathy for most of them because it was clear that they just didn't know any other path in life. They had never known anyone who had a long term job or career.

I'm talking about BEFORE that endorsement. I agree with you about Condi too. I think personally, Powell was somewhat pissed at how Obama was being attacked by the far right and that's why he endorsed him. That's my gut feeling, regardless of what he may have said.

It was a joke, and yes I can be awfully shallow.
I was telling people before the election that BO would win, but Romney.. geez, he's made a career of losing .
You are right though, the country is run by free loaders...aptly name the Federal Reserve.
Vote.... OBEY OBEY OBEY OBEY OBEY OBEY OBEY

If you haven't done so already, you should check out his biography. It's a very American story.

Wally, you're just bitter because he endorsed Obama so I won't bother answering your question. He was just fine with the republican party up until that endorsement.

I respect Powell as a leader and as an American. I've stated before that I'd vote for him if he ran. But you are fooling yourself if you think he's not a RINO.

He was loyal to Bush to the point where it almost ruined his credibility. I don't think he was considered a RINO during that time by any republicans.

Like Bush was a conservative? Being faithful to his administration does not make Powell any less of a RINO. A RINO is still a Republican. Kind of like registering as a Republican but supporting liberals.....know what i'm saying?

Yep, I know exactly what you're saying. People who think for themselves annoy you!

And why in the hell would he??? He holds NO political office. He does not have to answer to ANYONE. Unlike Donald Trump, he's smart enough to NOT stick his nose where it is not needed.
