Referring back to the original article....I don't think you can refer to the results as "horrific" when they have won 30 Governors seats, a huge majority in the house, and have come close to owning half of the Senate after being down considerably 4 years ago. Losing two presidential bids, in the big picture, is not a sign of armageddon. When they lose a House majority, get down to 20 Governors, and have a minority of state offices, they will be in big trouble. But voters don't seem to have a problem with Republicans in down-ticket races.
