So how much is a new rear end going to cost?
Since a lot of us hate the rear on the C7, I'm wondering what the price range is going to be for a new rear bumper. Aftermarket companies are going to make some bank by offering a new rear end with circle taillights. Dammit, i'm in the wrong business. So i guess if you want a C7 figure in an additional 3 to 4k for a new rear? More, less? I figure 5k total if you want the paint done right?

It will be interesting to see what alternative treatments the aftermarket comes up with.

I'd say at least 5k with paint. I'm guessing someone's already working on a full body kit as well.

If you really just want circle tail lights then that should be easy enough, as the tail lights seem to be housed in their own bezel. Their should be no painting involved just replace the bezel with the tail lights in them and call it a day.

If the taillights were the only problem wit the rear, that might be a solution. The problem is the entire rear is an epic fail.

Well, seeing that is an artists rendition of what is speculated the rear will be, I would at least wait to see what the actual rear end looks like before I would worry too much about replacing it. It might be that bad, it might not. I think that would be a great rear end for the next gen Camaro.

That "artist's rendering" is pretty damn close. Here's GM's CAD drawing:

That is an artist's rendering from Jalopnik, same as the other pic. GM has not released any drawings or pics of the rear. The only pics of the rear anyone has seen are the ones of the camo'ed cars that were tested, and those are certainly not clear.

Have you been under a rock for the last year??
You're right, GM has not released any pics yet. Someone else, on the other hand, has. I've seen the actual pics along with several others. That is the rear of the new Vette.

WRONG!! This is NOT an artist's rendering from Jalopnik.
RIGHT, GM did not "release" this, it was leaked - along with a LOT of other information and several other GM CAD drawings.
