Too dangerous to have me in the same city as Welburn and Peters.
Besides, I don't need to go to Detroit in January (brrrrr) to see what the C7 looks like ... I've been looking at it since last November.

Hey... There are people living here, ya know...
I wouldn't say you will definitely like the rear of C7 but it will look better in person than on paper.
I'm so anxious to see this forum on 1/13 to see the people's reaction - those who were saying the Jalopnik pic was fake, and those who were saying they would "never ever" buy C7.
Again, I'm not saying everyone will love it. (there are many people who HATES look of 458, including my friend who owns 360, 430 & 599.)
BUT,,, I'm sure many would say, "Not as bad as I thought or expected, even though the Camaro ass is there."
A month and half, and we'll all see the real thing.

Many of us have seen the debut of most of the generations of Corvette. I, for one, have NEVER looked at a new generation Corvette and uttered, "Not as bad as I thought or expected." To me, it seems that some are lowering their standards for Corvette design ... but then GM has already done that.
Such sad times.

Did you say this about the C6, because it appears as though you own one.

I loved the C6 at first sight. Although a bit more conservative than I'd have liked to have seen, I found the design very tasteful. It was time to say goodbye to the hidden headlights and it was executed with class and taste. The shorter overhangs and tidier lines looked very different from the C5 while still looking uniquely Corvette.
I've owned my C6 for more than 6 years and I was looking forward to getting a second year C7. That will not happen now, not in year 2, not ever with that rear end. Not for me.
You asked.

Some people (I have no idea who lol) might say the same about the lights lol.
in all seriousness though this is just a pitiful attemp by GM to tie all of thier cars to a successful one. Even impala has a little of the tail light design in it (though oddly they took more leeway there...). It's overall a bad move for the brand I think.

I'm sure there are some who disagree, but I'm certain that I am not alone in saying the ugly Camaro taillights are only part (albeit a big part) of the design problem with that horrendous rear end.

I really don't like the Camaro style lights on either the camaro or the corvette. My wife really likes the camaro and is seriously considering buying one....perhaps she'll look at the vette too since she never really got over me selling my 2004.

It may be faster. It may get better gas mileage. It may have a better interior. But if the images are correct, it's lost something that all Vettes have had up to now and is very important for me - sex appeal.

I think the CAD image rear looks better than the Jalopink one. But it's still not what I would call good looking. I really think GM is to busy trying to make a look for "Chevrolet" instead of letting some of the cars have thier own "look".
It just seems like since the Camaro was such a success that they are trying to make every new Chevy have something of it in thier looks.
