Nav system not reading map DVD

The navigation system in my 2009 corvette seems to always have issues.
The display use to go almost completely blank which I was able to overcome by cranking up some of the settings.
Now it doesn't read the map DVD.

This option was not worth the price when I order the 2009 corvette.
I see they are including it now with the 2LT or 3LT package.

I will probably upgrade the radio system to another brand next year.

A lot of people have had major issues with the NAV system. I haven't had major issues, but enough that I'm going aftermarket next spring. One of the biggest issues is having to pay hundreds of dollars to update discs. With an aftermarket system, you can go online and update for free. The system will pay for itself in a few years.
