What's your favorite "Christmas/New Years" dish or dessert....

.....I like all those tiny sandwiches you can stuff in your
mouth when no ones looking.....

.....dessert are mostly candy inspired (penuche)....

Christmas Eve dinner is where its at for me. Our family does a traditional 7 fish dinner. So damn good. Look forward to it every year sine its the only time we make those things.

Pecan pie. I know in some areas it's pronounced PEE-can, but in TX, it's our state tree and it's pronounced puh-CAHN.

Although I like the southeast, I will admit that mom and sis get their pecans from Mulligan Pecan in San Saba, Texas....or something like that. I ordered them for them last year and now that's all they'll use. They're bigger (naturally) than Georgia pecans and have a sweeter, nuttier taste. Of course they're bigger, they're from Texas and everyone knows that everything is bigger in Texas.

.....or everyone in Texas IS a big nut. Just read some of the NEWS forum posts. Remember the best way to find Texas, if you're ever lost, just drive west until you smell it and south until you step in it.
