Turn Signals

Hello! I'm have just purchased my first Vette...1997. My turn signal just went out...bummer! They won't flash and I found that my emergency flashers don't flash either. I was told by the dealership it would be $600 to fix the problem. They told me they would have to go into the steering column. I turn to you techs with this problem. Can a person with limited skills fix the signals? If so what parts do I needs and how do I go about doing this? I thank you for taking the time!

What did they say was wrong with it? $600 sounds mighty steep.

Junkman has done quite a bit of work and taught himself a lot (as a lot of us have), so it can be done.

Start looking for a factory service manual. They are worth their weight in gold!
