You can make your opinion matter. Don't buy it. I won't. A LOT of real vetters will not be buying the C7 as long as it looks like this.

I think the term he meant to use was Vette 'enthusiast'. The are Vette owners, Vette drivers and Vette enthusiast. There definitely is a difference between the three.

Exactly!
That's exactly what I ment. It does't matter because you either will like it or you won't. I just baught my vette a couple weeks ago. I got a C5 because I don't like the C6 rear end. People who love the C6 will scoff at that, but they have their likes and I have mine. I don't think a vette should be without pop up head lights either, but thats my opinion.
So if the C7 has these types of nuaunces that I don't care for, I won't get one, but there will be some out there who will love it. Its the differences that make the world go round.
I will be happy thinking to my inner self how much more beautiful my vette is compared, but the guy who buys the C7 will see mine and be thinking to himself how he knows I just wish I had one......makes you kind of wonder.

It's the fact that you felt it necessary to include the modifier "real" Vetters.

Sorry pal, but it was interpreted exactly as you meant it - otherwise you wouldn't have chosen the words you wrote in your "damn post".
Again, your words, not mine.
FWIW, I'm not offended on the least.

Ah, NO "Pal" you didn't and you seem to choose not to.
You who accuse ME of picking at posts like they do on CF.
Interesting.
"..a lot of real vetters" does not imply a majority, a minority or anything other than a significant amount of that group. Yes, I believe a significant amount of real vetters will not buy a C7 because they don't like it.
"real vetters" means all current corvette enthusiasts. Nothing more, nothing less.

With all the ugly ass being shown in this thread, it's time for me to save it. I present one of my asses. If only GM could implement something like this!
And now, back to your regularly scheduled program...

Real Vetters actually suggests that some are not "real". I'm just interested in learn the benchmark. I imagine there are significant numbers of site members who have not purchased a Corvette yet
Does this make them any less "real"? Or does you comment suggest that a person who does like and may choose to purchase a C7 is less of a "vetter"?
This implication seems "real".
