Obviously those who were striking were not creating any profit. Actually, they were killing the profit with their greed.

18,000 people lost there jobs avg pay 50,000.

It depends what you do for a living were this going to effect you in one way or another, But look on the bright side you hard working stiffs you get to support this people that are going to be on workmen-comp, and even better the ones who are going to file for bankruptcy just like there company did. Yea for me rest of people who will have to pick up the slack

I think its great! This will probably be another company that opens up in Texas with our right to work and great tax rate for companies. The unions are on their way out and you are only seeing their death gasps. Finally!

Why would these people be on workmen-comp? Were they injured while protesting? Or did you mean unemployement? Unemployment must be good for the economy, after all, Obama has extended it how many times?

I wasn't asking you.

I was asking the guy that keeps incorrectly claiming the unemployed are collecting it.

WC is for employees who are injured on the job.
Unemployement pays those who are legitamately laid off.

WC does not equal Unemployment.

The democrats made sure the banksters got their bonuses after crashing the financial structure. I would think a good left-leaner like yourself would be proud of failing company's handing out bonuses. Solyndra anyone?

Actually, in Chicago, it does ... not to sure why, but I'm pretty sure it does.

It's like this Greek island, where half of the inhabitants are blind and the other half are disabled.

Those who are disabled, in wheelchairs, have compensation from the state to move around using taxis, the other half are taxi drivers.

To this day, no audit has ever been performed on this island and everybody gets paid by the state.

Yeah, the government is the prime example. The shit has hit the fan and the democrats want to give Obama unlimited power to raise the debt ceiling, all the while he's rewarding more and more of his 'backers', or, er, campaign donors'... Solyndra?

Extreme taxation, excessive controls, oppressive government competition with business, frustrated minorities and forgotten Americans are not the products of free enterprise. They are the residue of centralized bureaucracy, of government by a self-anointed elite. - Ronald Reagan
