On the drag radials they have, the front tires are a little wider. They work OK on my car. If you're in a parking lot or some place like that and cut the wheel all the way, they may rub some. But drag radials are for the track, so when in the pit, just don't cut the wheels all the way.

Other than the permanent grin that will be on your face I can think of only one bad problem and that is the occasional busted valve spring resulting in piston to valve contact. Its well reported and can be remedied by purchasing a replacement set of springs for under $200.

Oh yeah, another problem I've heard of a bit less is fuel pumps going bad if you run the car to Empty. I never had an issue with either but I did replace my valve springs and rockers as preventative maintenance.

did i make a mistake

man am I going to make a mistake? I'm about to lay some money down for a 01 Z06. Should I hold out for a 02 or newer. Other than a little HP. and I really don't think I'll be racing it on a track. Maybe some parking lot rally's but that's it. Is the 02 that much improved?

I bought the 02 mainly for the heads up display, but also for the 405 HP vs 385.
I have a friend that had an 01 and with an intake and headers he had almost identical RW torque as mine with headers.

So, to me, the main diff is the heads up display.

I also liked the Electron Blue...

But I don't think you can go wrong with either one.
