Dynomax or Magnaflow

Hi All, Getting ready to renew the exhaust on my 79 L82from the
converter back after the holidays. Dynomax has a
cat. back #19465,comes with super turbo mufflers.
My second option would be a rear Y pipe and get a
pair of Magnaflow mufflers.
Which option would give the best (louder) sound and performance?"
Anyone use either system.
Thanks

I'd go with Magnaflow.

For loudness go with Magnafow, but for an awesome low rumbling idle that sets of car alarms on parking garages, go with DynoMax!

I've got the stainless cat back system with the Super Turbos on my 78 SA and I love it. I get complimented all the time about the sound, and also experienced a very noticeable increase in torque over stock.

The DynoMax system just f-ing ROCKS!

I would also recommend replacing the OEM cat with a light weight high flow unit (if you haven't done so already) for even more g's upon acceleration.

I had replaced my 79's exhaust with high flow Cats, new Y-pipe and the DynoMax Super Turbo's..........many, many years ago. I had so many comments that I did the exact same thing to my 80 very shortly after purchase.

I still have visitation rites to my 79 and it still remains the same with current owner. Unfortunantely, my 80 no long exist. But it left this world with a very distinct roar.

Thanks for the replys, appreciate it. I was leaning towards the Dynomax, more so due to the cost. The price of the cat back number 19465 is reasonable.
Thanks again
