Re: NY 1ST RESPONDER'S AMBUSHED

With NY having some of the strictest gun laws in the country, this is a good example of no matter how strict you make the laws, the criminals will always obtain weapons if they choose to. More gun restrictions IS NOT the answer.... as you can clearly see:

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/lookout/two-firefighters-shot-killed-while-responding-webster-n-163105823.html

On another note, it's these type of criminals that should remain under lock and key, instead of the weed smokers. A few days ago, I referenced a letter that I wrote to the media regarding a little girl's beating, stabbing, rape and murder, in which I made the point that America can't afford to lock up everyone. At some point, we're going to have to choose who we want to keep locked away prison, the violent criminals or the weed smokers. Up until now, only 2 states have chosen "violent offenders".

The shooter shot & killed himself.
I know he was a prior convicted felon- killer that served his time & released.
No mention if he was on mind altering drugs or not.

With all recent, common denominator in other cases is prescribed Meds for mental disorders, killings, shooter kills themselves before they are apprehended.

Of course Media & politicians- they blame guns are at fault.

The focus was definitely on Meds for the most part, but given the climate, I can see politician's using this story to add fodder. You get a few more cases like this in a short period of time, and it'll only serve to strenghten the position of those who want stricter gun laws. The crime in our country has to be attacked from many angles... the prescription drug issue is one, and having non-violent criminals in prison is another. After all, there's only so much space and only so much money.

I understand & agree with You.
They have closed down a couple of prisons here in Illinois 2012.
Budget shortfalls.
Gross mismanagement of funds $$$$$$$.
Likely stolen prior.
I will leave political parties out of your thread here.
Communities & good paying jobs lost with the prison closures.
And the Petty Pot smoking criminals are locked up in Max security prisons with convicted killers now.
They may not make it out alive before there paroled.
Illinois Max Security prisons are a bad place to be.

... and unfortunately, the petty criminals are now living in an environment where most will have to become "hardened" in order to survive, and will learn to be better criminals. If and when they do get, society will have an even larger price to pay.

The killer wrote in his final letter that he wanted to burn the neighborhood down and kill people because that's what he does best!

I'm confused...I thought guns kills people!

...at least that's what the media wants us to believe.

It's really more of the bullets fault, I mean unless you use the gun as a hammer to beat someone with it. Outlaw bullets and we will be all set.

Here is an idea.
Give a gang of killers AK 47's & plenty of ammo.
Give them drugs & booze too.
Then airlift a crew of reporters & drop them off into the hideout of the armed killers. Just give the reporters a slingshot & bag of marbles to defend themselves.
Before they are kicked out of the helicopter, remind them all guns are dangerous so You will be 100 % safe & Ok defending yourself with your bag of glass marbles.

If any of them live past 24 hours,
they will be forever changed.
For the 2nd Amendment & not against.

How do we let a guy out of prison who killed his grandma with a hammer? That kind of bad wiring just doesn't get better over time.

The guy who comes home and catches his wife banging the milkman and kills both of them. OK, that guy might have been a good guy who did a bad thing.

But killing Grandma with a hammer? What were they thinking when they gave him the plea bargain?

This is why HAMMERS need to be banned. At least if you're using the gun control nut's way of thinking.

With the current gun laws already on the books, he was not supposed to have access to a gun

Depends if he bought legally from an FFL dealer, and if so the dealer needs to be prosecuted. If he bought it from an individual then it's up to the buyer to have it transfered into his name, and the serial number checked out.

Maybe Grandma was banging his wife?

This sick fuck should have never been let out of the psyc ward. In fact, he should have been put down when convicted.
