Only those of us with moderation powers can delete post or threads and we definitely refrain from that at all cost, in order to allow folks to speak freely within reason. Every once in a while, someone will cross the line of sensibility and must be dealt with but that is on a case by case basis.

Hell, I don't bite my tongue and I don't hold any grudges against those who feel differently than the way I do. It's just grown folks discussing grown folks business. Some people are set in their ways and you are not going to change their mind but at least you can find out how their noggin works by discussing the issues with them.

The news room ain't for everyone, especially if you take it personal but try and not do so. After all, we all agree on one thing. We all drive or have driven one of America's bad ass cars.
Well said! Especially the last sentence!

the news room has never been about the news. its about pushing beliefs upon others, that's why people always say the same crap in here all the time.

At the end of the day, that's what debates are all about... trying to get people to see things from your point of view. Often times it's just sharing opinions about a story. Personally, I think it's better than how a lot of people most their time.... X-box and TV... but then that's just me.

I certainly hope 92 roadster comes back in hear if for no other reason to read the nice shit I am going to say about him here. But I digress.

Roadster has always been much more about entertaining us rather than imposing his views or ideology, but the shooting in Connetcicut was very tough to take for many people including me. I chose to not discuss it while others chose to vent some anger. I think Roadster was in that second group.

I did not read the posts that may have driven him off but from what I have read in this thread there were threats that should not be tolerated by the moderators, and they probably have already been dealt with.

The best thing about this site is that the moderators leave you alone to make as big an ass of yourself as you want but draw the line at threats either actual or percieved.

And as Junkman said we should all remember the car that binds us all together....it is our common thread and why we are all here.

So come back 92 Roadster, you are welcome in the news room, and probably more than most.

I have stayed out of those threads too. I didn't even feel like discussing it would have done any good so I didn't bother either.

I didn't see any threats but then like I said, I didn't really hang out in those threads. I have seen some accounts disabled so someone obviously has been dealing with some folks.

I'm not going to do the, "don't go! don't go!" thing. That's been covered, and I figure you will do what you want. However, I will say it's a shame. I've enjoyed arguing....errrr discussing things....with you.

See ya in the Lounge.
