I agree. I am a major James Bond fan, and am old enough that I can remember when the originals were in theaters. I can't possibly give a new bond movie 5 stars because in my mind, no one can ever top Sean Connery. However, Skyfall was the best non-Connery bond movie ever IMO. 4-1/2 stars.

"The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey - An IMAX 3D Experience"
As lush and detailed as the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, but minor characters are given major screen time and the movie plods along because of it.
As for making one book into three films, let's hope "the worst is behind us."
7/10

Seeking a Friend for the End of the World.
Steve Carrell, Keira Knightly
5/10.
It was very mediocre, kind of boring to me, although a very different take on the whole "end of the world" genre of movies. Genre according to imdb: Drama, Romance, Sci-Fi. It's not dramatic enough to be a drama. It's not romantic enough to be a romance, is not comedic enough to be a comedy, and it's not sci-fi enough to be sci-fi. What the hell is this movie?
I didn't like it, didn't hate it. Basically the movie is about what you would do with your time left if the world was going to end.

I really liked JACK REACHER and give it a 10
The Hobbit was disappointing although the 3D was very good and the special effects were great, but even having read the book, I found it somewhat hard to follow and give it a 5/10

Sand Sharks
Sand Sharks:
Stupid and campy with a total disregard for physics. A must drink before watching but it's totally cool that San sharks grow into land sharks.
Acting was par with a porn flik. Plot was par with a porn flik. Effects were atrocious (back to physics), shark fins leaving a little trail in the sand instead of some kind of major sand displacement for as big as those sharks were was funny. It was a goofy dumb ass funny movie which I don't recommend unless you have absolutely nothing to do except drink and chuckle.
I give it a 1.1 and will quite possibly use it again for New Years party filler either before or after Zeppelin's "The Song Remains The Same".

"Iron Man 3 3D"
A couple of weird plot twists combined with a semi-predicable ending.
Better than the second, nowhere near as good as the first.
Possibly the last film of the series, though. Not a good way to go out.

Oblivion
Not bad. I don't regret the $10.50/tkt, but wouldn't donate again. I give it a 6/10.
