Ill just do one more thing.

So I started cleaning and cleaning up the interior of the car, vacuuming things like that...and all of a sudden this happened.

This ever happened to anyone before?

On a side note my oil gauge wasnt working, as a temp fix I ran a cheap replacement and attached to the bottom of the dash. My question is, can I just detach that from the back of the cheap replacement and run it to a new gauge I bought from www.corvetteamerica.com? Or do I have to rerun the line with an OE line and attachments and all that? The part online said if you dont reuse your old parts it wont read right, I reused the parts behind the gauge but where it goes into the engine is from the replacement. Thanks.

The OEM fitting is slightly different than the aftermarket ones. The ferrule (male end) and the seat are not the same as the hardware store/auto parts items.
The OEM part, the ferrule is tapered with a ring on one end, the aftermarket 1/8" compression fitting the ferrule is round. The OEM and aftermarket fititngs don't mix too well.

Horsepower is like potato chips. If you have 300, you want 500. If you have 500, you want 800. One is never enough.

That's happened to me a lot. A lot. A brake job kind of turned into a complete replacement of front and rear suspension, removal of transmission, drive shaft, and rear end for underside cleaning and painting, which turned into a refreshed rear end, rebuilt wiring harnesses front and rear, and a host of other things that I needed to do but didn't anticipate.

Thanks for the reply, Ill go ahead and get the whole kit for the gauge and just be on the safe side. Ive also decided to replace the sound system while Im at it so I guess this is going to take longer then the original plan. lol oh well.

This looks like a SOLID CASE of While-I'm-At-It's. Sorry, the only cure is to Do NOTHING but Drive, and fill with Gas. Repeat as necessary.

Cheers - Jim
