You missed the most important adjective in the sentence. I indicated the Democrats are better at promoting their OWN lies and misinformation better than the Pubs. This would go to say that BOTH parties get elected by pushing their own lies. They BOTH over promise and under perform. The Democrats have been miles ahead in this theater since Clinton. I'm not saying the Dems are evil and the Pubs are angels. I'm saying they both are guilty, but the Pubs lack the technique/art of promoting themselves.

Elections are just popularity contests. The girl with the biggest tits, longest legs, and tightest ass wins. If you're a conservatively dressed nerdy dude, consistently crying about how much of a slut your competitor is, you don't have a chance.

That lack any kind of sound strategy. When BO first got elected, we all know that Mitch said that the goal was to make BO fail, and that's all they've focused on. Often times when you're out to hurt someone, you end up hurting yourself. You see that in football a lot when a linbacker gets a "stinger" trying to lay a vicious hit on someone, to take someone out the game. I guess the GOP just love "stingers"!

There are some of you that read way too much into what is said around here. Just because some one states that the Dems are better at politicizing their propoganda that the Pubs, does not mean the Pubs aren't trying to do the same. The Pubs are. They just suck at it.

Politics is also a chess game that they just aren't good at. They're unable to see 3 or 4 moves down the line, and end up suffering from the law of unintened consequences.

But lets not forget that they used to be good at it. Durring the Clinton Years, when they weren't shooting themselves in the foot tyring to get Clinton kicked out of office, they managed to get a lot of good things done. And that was the difference....they picked their battles...they won quite a few and lost some...and the country prospered because of it. The tea party seems to just be blinded by an overpowering hatred of Obama and they cannot see that thier hatred hurts them and the country more than it hurts Obama.

I guess that's what happens when 1 man takes the country. He sure must be powerful!

I'd still say that they're good, it's just that less people are buying what they're selling. I mean the slogans and talking points that the GOP comes up with stick like glue to a good portion of folks, though as the demographics continue to change, there will be fewer people for them to stick to.

The Dems have a few good slogans too, but they could use some help from the Pubs in the "slogan" dept. .
