C7 to be at Barrett-Jackson
It's official, Barrett-Jackson will auction off a C7 on January 19th, 2013.
The Barrett-Jackson auction is being held the same week as the NAIAS in Detroit. So if you can't make it to Detroit, Scottsdale, AZ is your second choice!
Thanks to Corvette Blogger for this! I was going to be there either way, but now I'm definitely going! Lots of Camaro tail light pics to follow!

My guess is that you and Blogger are right, but keep in mind that it could possibly be an SS which is also due out next year
.... can't see it being a Sierra, however.

Well it does say "one of a kind" so I don't know if that would apply to a car set to be a production car.

Special color / VIN / ect. It could be 1 of 1,000,000 produced and still be able to call it "One of a kind"
That is the most overused term in the auto-auction world.

Its probably VIN XXXX-000001
And technically all serialized VINs are one of a kind

Corvette Online is reporting ....
Quote:
Barrett-Jackson Lot#3016 for the upcoming January auction specifies that the C7 is a “one-of-a-kind” model from Chevy with proceeds going toward the “Center for Creative Studies.” The event will take place on January 19th at 8:30 PM at Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale, Arizona auction.
Speculation over which VIN C7 will be featured still lingers, but Vette journalist Rick Tavel guesses that the car will be VIN #2 since the very first C7 produced will most likely be going to the GM Heritage Center. This January’s Barrett-Jackson event in Scottsdale will be a rare opportunity to have the chance to own one of the first cars built in a brand new Vette family, and unless you plan on being in Detroit a few days earlier you don’t want to miss this new-gen Vette extravaganza!

Really just more speculation. FWIW

What!!!? You don't like those fancy fender wells??!! Even has vents behind the rear fender wells. Dats jus kul dude.
The front fender inspired the new Ferrari's treatment.

VIN #1 what does that mean? They auditioned the first ZR1 and than Jay Leno claims he has the first? In my school of firsts where not everyone gets a trophy there can only be one. So what is it, first down the line, first customer car, first red, white or blue one?
