C&D C7 Images - A revision
I still think C&D has the rear glass wrong.
Based on this...

I think the rear window will look more like this (low-res quickie)...

And, I think the window is even a bit smaller than what I showed.
There is a fold in the header at the top of the window in the service manual image that I didn't include. The glass will appear to bet set into the top rather than on it.

The design of the rear window is also slightly off as well, from the newly leaked pic the rear window is curve and not squared off.

I liked the curvature of the glass in the blue right rear view from topspeed.com. But then I realized that that rendering was photoshopped from a picture of a 2011 C6 Z06 Carbon and its glass, curvature and all. I'm expecting that the actual C7 glass will be fairly flat.

I don't mean the glass but the window frame, on the rendering up the window behind the door is square. Yet we have a picture of the C7 rear hatch frame structure which includes part of the exterior body panel.

Big Picture
Nobody wants this thing to be cooler than I do... but the mere fact of everyone's focus on little, individual, design details is really a manifestation of desperate hope.
Compare the best renderings to the 3/4 rear view of the C3 in the website masthead. Oy. Not close. Next to the C3 this thing looks like a 12-year old Celica.
No. Seriously. Design vernacular that's much closer to a decade old Celica than it is a '69 Vette.
Love it or hate it, that's a fact Jack.

still hoping...
there has to be something, must be something nobody noticed and makes it look way cooler...
a different angle, a lower stance, anything....

There are a few tweaks I wanted to do but ran out of time for - mostly at the top of the hatch.
If I find the opportunity I'll work on it a bit more.

Looks great Kup!
I agree that this should be very close to the final. The main issue I had with most of the renderings is how "vertical" they showed the area with the quarter window. In order to make the geometry work, I think it will be angled back quite a bit. I think this is the one thing that would really bring this revision to life.

I really do believe rake of the top will recall the sharks (C3 for you younger folk ) quite a bit.
This would take a bit of work to achieve, requiring me to be less lazy.
