Sometimes these threads take on a life of their own and even I am amazed that this one got past 3 posts..

On the bright side, we all got a couple hours of entertainment value out of this one.

47 posts in before they checked the actual numbers though.

Your probably a closet libertarian.. I am not so much pro-choice, as pro-leave-people-to-themselves-until-they-fuck-up.

Fascism is a religion of the state. It assumes the organic unity of the body politic and longs for a national leader attuned to the will of the people. It is totalitarian in that it views everything as political and holds that any action by the state is justified to achieve the common good. It takes responsibility for all aspects of life, including our health and well-being, and seeks to impose uniformity of thought and action, whether by force or through regulation and social pressure. Everything, including economy and religion, must be aligned with its objectives.

It's called having an opinion and being able to express it freely. I love our country.

As far as abortion goes, I'm one of those "The government has no reason being involved in the situation either way" type of people.

Way off topic, but good talking to you guys.

I feel that way about 90% of what the government is involved in.

The greatest thing that was given to man was free will. That is how God, the great spirit or however you choose to say it, intended it to be.

Who someone sleeps with is none of my biz,...why a grown adult cares about what goes on in someone else's bedroom is beyond me. I've always thought that perhaps those people who worry about that stuff have some issues within... the GOP has supplied many stories over the years.

Abortion, I don't like it at all, but it's between the female and male who created the baby. If a woman does have an abortion, my tax dollars shouldn't be used for it.

Once you approve of the govt. stifling the rights of others, then I always say don't bitch when they EVENTUALLY come for your rights.

I am pro death penalty, pro 2nd amendment, pro-choice by a slim margin (the arguments for the pro-life view are pretty strong even if you eliminate religion from the debate), and don't give a shit about gay marriage. I'm certainly not for it, but let them knock themselves out as far as I'm concerned. But I damn sure ain't no Democrat or liberal.

OK.

"New White House salary figures leaked to The Washington Post show that men in the Bush White House earn an average of $76,624 a year. Women earn $59,917 on average. That means Bush women earn about 78 percent of what Bush men earn." (July 14, 2004)

http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2...taff-secretary

Do the math. There was a wider gap in the Bush Administration salaries than there currently is in the Obama Administration. According to the numbers you provided, Obama women earn about 84.5% of what Obama men make, compared to 78.2% for Bush. Facts are a bitch, aren't they?

I find it interesting how this thread went from discussing HOW MANY women Obama employs to how much women make on average.
How did it? in Vette Newb's post, other than the title of the thread, ONE sentence was devoted to HOW MANY women Obama employs. And if you look at the original article, along with vette newb's post, the article highlights and emphasizes the whole salary debate.
