Reveal & Jalopnik Drawings
Rear window is all wrong on Jaloponik drawing when compared to the leaked manual drawing....
BTW, I'll be at the Reveal Event in Detroit...

I find some things funny.
Remember when the C6 was coming out?
People were calling it what .. C5.5? C5.25? C5.75? "It's just a souped up C5, nothing else!".
And now we hear "C7 is just a souped up C6, nothing else!" and "C5 only shares the rear fascia with the C6!".
I'm not going negative on drbluevert here, he's not saying anything others haven't already. Your post was merely an example of that

If you remember, the C6 used "only" 30% carry over parts from the C5.
C7 uses 2 parts, that's not even 1%. That's pretty impressive. It is an ALL new car.

True...I will give them that. HOWEVER...
I'll turn in to see this, even we all know what it looks like. Maybe seeing it with no camo in living color will change my mind?

I'm more interested in what they have to say about that car and it's features, since we already know what it will look like. But it will be good to finally see the real deal and no more 248,863,529 renderings and speculations.

I'm glad it's at 7 pm Eastern Time. That's 6 pm here. That means we get to see it an hour earlier!

This is the first time in my life that I am completely apathetic about the official debut of a new corvette. On second thought, apathy is not accurate. I dred this release.

Yes Sir, I stand beside you in this post. . Everyone says to "wait and see" but I have a feeling there will be separate forum made saying "who hates Tadge Juechter and his design team" after the unveiling. I agree with the effort for the better interior. I just feel they improved in one place and possibly took away from the other (the good looks.) I looked at the rear hatch design Chris Draper posted and I saw so many ways that the "basket handle" or "halo" could've flowed into the hatch WITHOUT the little side window having to be there. BUT I'm not apart of the design or engineering group so I don't know how that would've adversely affect aerodynamics. Just my 2 pennies.

Interesting that with less than a week before the C7 debut, Chevy has announced their new Global advertising slogan:
Find New Roads
For many of us Corvette loyalists, it might as well be:
Find New Customers (to replace those of us who won't be buying the C7)
But then, maybe that's exactly what they think they can do. Guess we'll all find out after the initial "gottahaveits" pay their over stick prices. Will Stingray(base?) corvettes sell well in years 2, 3 and beyond?
We shall see.

We're all ready. hdmi cable all ready hooked up to TV and ready for Sunday. Hope the streaming is smooth and doesn't freeze during unveil. Would have loved to be there in person but couldn't afford it.
