Appears to be no 'deck' between the trailing edge of the rear glass and the back of the car, first image above. Also you can clearly see the rear quarter windows and rear hatch taper in the second photo above.
Lots of C2 influence in the rear hatch form....this baby is going to be gorgeous!!!

I assumed this first one is an image of the left rear quarter panel but I couldn't really "find my bearings" beyond that. Are you suggesting the rear glass fits in the opening we see at the top of the image? I still don't fully get it.

Yeah, that's how I'm reading the image. I agree that this is the left rear quarter, which means the opening shown HAS to be for the rear glass....right?

Ok, after squinting at the image for a while I've completely changed my mind. I think this is the right front fender looking across the hood, without the nose piece. The openings would then be for the hood vents. The low angle of what I thought was the rear rake bothered me, and now I realize that it is the hood bulge.... I think.....

If those are headlamps OR vents, then either the picture isn't clear or the Jalopnik rendering is wrong. It appears to be too narrow...BUT ya know what it DOES look like?

Really!? I don't see that at all. Looks like lots of Cadillac Art & Science folding and creases to me.

Jalopnik, unfortunately, is not wrong. Use their Nov 2011 renderings as a map to analyze these pics and they will make a bit more sence. Also recognize that this is a production line. Pieces that you expect to see, but don't see, are probably added later down the line from the pic. Remember, these pics were chosen by GM to entice without telling too much.
We're all falling into the the "High speculation caused by too little information" trap.

So it looks like we probably get the glue in composite floor again. Anyone who has put a cage in one is probably rolling their eyes.
