It definitely looks better then I expected. I am still not sold on the rear, I will need to see it in person.
I can see this appealing to more people overall. I believe it will snare a lot of young boys hearts which is a good thing. And come to think of it, when you see the first ones on the road people will turn heads and say "THAT is a vette?" I say that as a compliment.
Now maybe I am clueless, but how does the manual not have a hand break? You cant do stupid stuff in a paring lot with an e-brake =(
The real question is how much.

I like it cept for the rear end. I think I'll get to work designing some high capacity drink holders asap.

I like my 2013 in Night Race Blue. It really jumps out in bright sun! I would like it even better on a 2014.

It looks much better as the vents are basically body coloured.

Read just about EVERY post in a few different forums and I echo the majority of sentiments such as,"Miss the round tail lights", "back end looks way too much like a Camaro", "Viper clone", etc, etc.
I'm sure, just like when the first C4, C5, and C6 were announced, I didn't like them, but over time I grew to love them. As of right now I'm just not feeling it for the C7. I'll keep my C5 for now and maybe in the future I'll spring for a C6 GS !
BTW: Long time no see ! SO with that in mind , HAPPY NEW YEAR .
How has everyone been?

I am very thrilled with the overall design. It looked much better on the live reveal than the renderings. Many of the subtleties in the design were not as evident in the drawings, for example the more exaggerated wedge shape, the subtle pinch in the waist and the pointier nose with Gallardo-esque splitter. When I saw it roll out on stage I was stunned. I Really like how the cab seems pushed back over the rear haunches, taut and precise. Surprisingly, I think the hood is a bit busier than the tail. At first glance it appears sinister but there are a few too many lines and creases for me. I will reserve my decision to order until I have thoroughly evaluated the interior in person and the aftermarket has had time to tweak the new engine.

I'm kind of in lock step with everyone else on here. I didn't like some of the design drawings that I saw, but after seeing the car, I like it. I'm still not sold on the rear end. The Camaro-ish tail lights are iffy in my book, but I'll reserve judgement until I see it in person. I'm really glad they put the corvette name back in the middle of the bumper where it belongs.

I'm very sorry, but I really don't like it at this point: it's too busy for me.
I hope they sell them so the brand carries on, but it's not my cup of tea.

I think GM has did the best they could trying to please all the people. Being a performance car driver, all the new bling is a waste to me.
I get a kick out of every one trying to make it look like some other car...
If I was going to say it looked like any thing, I would say with the low sloping hood, high front fenders. thin waist line around drivers compartment, and a high flat rear end. Can I say coke bottle. I like the C3 in it.
Unfortunately it also has other C3 traits, lower horse power, and engineered toward fuel economy. And trying to cover it all up with a fancy dash, leather, colored displays. and carbon fiber.
Do I like it of course I do, it's a brand new CORVETTE. Would I buy a new one? No to much new technology that can break to take it out on the track and beat it up.
Maybe in a few years when the bugs are worked out.
