Not to jack the thread, but are there catalytic iinserts for side pipes?
Real high flow catalytic converters, not muffler inserts.

It's Alive
Update for those of you who don't stalk me on the other forum... 
Well...it took me 11 month but I finally got the LS1/T56 moving under its own power!
Still in very rough shape and a few issues that need solving but it's alive and sounding pretty good with the sidepipes.
First Startup with muffler inserts:
Straight pipes
Air Intake Done(wish I could do the twin intake like i'd like but it looks like I'd need a speed density tune to be able to do that...so maybe in the future.)

Cool! Hopefully they're working out for you....I know they were in rough a shape but hopefully not too bad.
I mounted up one of my new ones to be able to drive around the block. I wish they were Z06 style but I wasn't about to pay the premium for the label.

I haven't had a chance yet to work on the seats. I have the side pipes like you so I highly recommend that you install good sound and heat insulation

Yeah. I've been planning on the lizard skin type spray then a layer of heat reflection material at least.
Not sure about sound stuff yet. I don't think you can really stop the sound of sidepipes and the sound system i'll be putting in.
I guess if I take a long trip I could always use ear plugs.

I would spray 3 or 4 layers of lizard skin on both sides of the floor, that will kill the heat problems that these car have, you will thank your self later for doing so.

First time around the block video. Nothing fancy, barely made it out of 1st(except for when I started in 3rd on accident ) Guess I need to get used to a 6sp.
Didn't want to really get on it much being the first time around. Plus with no lights/hood i'm not exactly legal. Come spring i'll see what kind of trouble I'll get myself in.
I'm putting the muffler inserts back in. Just too loud I think for even normal driving with them out.
I fixed my electrical issue so this thing should run pretty good come spring. Winter project=harness bar + 5pt harness. New fuel cell. and VHX gauges should be coming out for corvettes soon but I haven't seen them yet. Fix heater core leak.

Congratulations!! You have come along way with this car. Suspension is done, engine and trans very close to being done. What's next?
You are certainly not afraid of working on it. How many times have you had the body off? I believe I counted 3 times.
And I bet it wasn't easy getting the knots out of the body sling after unloading the motor. 
Great work, good to see these older Vettes back on the road.

2 major body offs. I set it back on this summer to make sure the engine/trans were kosher before continuing.
Not too sure what's next. I think I'm going to get it road fit and drive it for a while as I thinker with stuff. Figure I can strip paint, work on interior, do some minor wiring all during the week and enjoy it on Friday...
Before spring though I still need the harness bar for seat belts, and gauges would be nice but I know which ones I want they just aren't offering them yet. And my fuel tank is in need of some work.
