The taillights look like some evil eyes staring back at the competition. All it needs are the tailpipes to look like fangs.

Here are the same mods from a different angle (I personally prefer the black taillight bezels, but I think the color-matched top looks great):

Apparently the reason that's perfectly acceptable is because the C3 came out in 1968 and the 2nd-gen Camaro came out in 1970... had it been the other way around, it would've been AN EGREGIOUS CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY!!!
Perfectly sound logic, if you ask me.

The person purchasing is the one that gives s shit. I think the rear resemblance is very camaroish and l dont like camaro tail lights. Well at the very least on a new corvette. Camaro tail lights belong on a camaro, The rear lights suck.

I really like the new car. I showed 3 friends of mine who dont give a shit about cars the new one and they all said that car is a home run. I think it will sell very well. When the vert comes out and if I really like it in person the Viper is gone and I will park it next to my 02 6-speed vert.
Right now my favorite Corvettes of all time are.....
98-04 6-speed convertible
2013 427 convertible

I don't think so... they could have followed the same modern interpretation and made them round. It would have blended well and maintain that signature feature. Heck! they could have used the same housing and instead of a trapezoidal shape, made the actual light curved and that would have been clooser to the old ways with a modern twist. I just do not get why they hade to do away with them....
Everything else in the car screams Corvette...evertyhing but the tail lights. These are the tail lights the next Camaro should have used.
Anyway, I still love the whole car and plan on buying one after the first year frenzy is over...
