That's the thing, you haven't only expressed your opinion, you've also been making judgments about the motivations behind people who genuinely like the car. You've dismissed them as people who "just like shiny things" or absurd claims like being "bling loving Obama voters" (as if that makes any sense ). Expressing your distaste for the car is fine and dandy, but quit demeaning the opinions of people who genuinely like the car. Their opinions are just as legitimate as yours.

I actually like the SRT Viper. Since you seem to be oblivious, I guess I need to point out that my previous few posts were satire. I was mocking your arrogant assertions that people who like the car are just "easily impressed" by "shiny things," and the absurd non sequitur that Obama voters are somehow responsible for the popularity of the C7. That's literally one of the stupidest things I've ever read.

Frankly, I'd like to see this thread closed. We have two groups of people who are stead fast Corvette loyalists, that have opposite opinions and are absolutely positive that the other group is wrong.
Because the opinions are based on subjective evaluations, no one is wrong and neither group can be proved wrong.
There is no way the posts in this thread can resolve the differences of these subjective opinions, so it is doomed to lead to fighting and squabbling with nothing achieved, nothing settled, only two groups that are pissed off at each other.
IMO FWIW.
PS - Yes I could close it myself. But unless most of you agree this is fruitless, it would just start up again in a new thread.

Now your panties in a bunch. I've back up ever post I've made, be it wrong or right, but it's a detailed opinion. You stuck on two words bling and shiny, neither brings value to this thread. Yeah I think I will get the room with Melkman........matter of fact we'll take the one you and Junkman sharing......just leave the key on the mat!

Now your getting it.
The bling and shiny things I spoke about earlier were not descriptive of chrome and gadgets. I was talking about the overemphazation of shapes and surfaces on the C7 design as well as the new shiny paint.

Welcome to the internet.
I believe these squables will continue as long as man is alive and mankind remembers the introduction of the C7 Corvette.
Just like the split window C2, they will talk about the introduction of hamburgler tail lights on the C7. Hopefully, both will be one year items.

i dont much care for the rear either but then i hated the rear on the C5. today i love the C5 .
its a shock to me only that they are moving away from the tradition of the round lights but as time goes by we change and car design changes too.
I was dead against the headlights of the C6 but it suits the car design and i really love the C6.
