My New Chevy
Well the plan was to start saving for my first Vette as soon as I got a raise but that hasn't happened yet and my car crapped out, so the Vette will have to wait.
So, on Friday I researched what I wanted, went to my local Chevrolet dealer and bought a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze 1LT. It was a demo car, loaded with all the options and only 2160 miles. They gave me $4000 off the price plus $500 rebate which is the current deal Chevy is running for 13' Cruze.
This car is incredible. The interior is amazing for a sub $20,000 car. It has a very Corvette/CTS mix going on. The seats are cloth buckets, and I kid you not, they are better then the C6 Corvette seats. They are so comfortable and really hold you in.
The car is very smooth, and is probably the best handling FWD car I have ever driven.
The only thing I don't care for is that it is an automatic. I would have got a manual, but I will be passing this car on to my fiance/wife when I get my next car (Corvette) and she can't drive manual. But the automatic does have a manual shift mode, which is pretty good.

Excellent score for you!
My dealer uses new cruzes as loaners when I bring our vehicles in for service. I am always impressed with them every time I get to use one. They're a tight little vehicle.
Congratulations!
Hopefully that C7 won't be too far off in your future.

Nice looking ride. It is a looker for sure. The gas economy will help put away some pennies for the Vette.
You will enjoy the little Chevy, I just got my daughter a Chevy Spark. She loves it and it is well built. Small for my likes but it is great on gas mileage.
Enjoy it until the wife takes it from you.

How is the rear leg room? The sentra my wife drives sucks in that area when the drivers seat is adjusted for my height (5 foot ten). That and at 70k the engine has major blow by. Changed the oil today and it poured out like it was gas.

What?? A jap motor that didn't go 300,000 miles plus
My Buick with a 3.1 V6 has gone over 200,000k with no problems, well I did kill a water pump, and the odometer hasn't worked since 160,000k. But the motor doesn't use oil or anti-freeze

Darth this sentra is such a piece of shit. The cvt transmission is sticking time bomb the motor is ticky clicky and generally crap. Dash plastics are like reject stuff from a early c4. Rear suspension a crappy "solid" beam the bends to have too much negative camber and if it gets shimmed it will bend some more. Prior generation sentra was way better than this cheap shit.

Yikes, sorry to hear that.
The back seat in the Cruze isn't too bad. I'm 5'-7" and it's comfortable. I guess it depends on how tall the people in the front are and where they have the seats adjusted to.
I would suggest renting one for a day and see what you think. You can rent one from Enterprise (and probably some others) for about $25 a day.
And the Cruze has the Chevy Ecotec 4cyl (1.8L or 1.4L Turbo). They are about as bulletproof as they come from everything I've heard.
