Just noticed that the rear black portion has a gloss finish, did that look good or would you have rather seen matte finish there? Are all the vents gloss too?

All of the black parts are painted Carbon Flash Metallic (The color that came on the Centennial edition cars). I thought it looked great. I think if it were satin it would look cheap.

No Ferrari in this Stingray...
I'm not getting "looks like a Ferrari etc" comments at all. Exactly WHAT Ferrari looks like this thing? That would be none. And frankly, this car is vastly more attractive than current Ferraris.
I think the design has its problems in the rear end, but overall it looks like, well, a Stingray... They picked the right car to bring that name back.

It's red, therefore looks like a Ferrari.
Everyone said the same thing when the C6 came out, and I'm sure before that even.

There is a new crash standard that with the old glass trunk like the c6 it probably wouldn't pass .

Leading edge would have been to employ some cameras to cover the back and sides, even eliminating the rearview mirrors on the doors.

Tesla wanted to replace the side-view mirrors on their upcoming SUV with cameras, but they said it would require changing a few laws. I'm not sure what the status is on that particular issue, this was probably a year or so ago when I heard about it.

The rear quarter panel and the rear side glass look like a Ferrari California to me. I'm not saying it's a bad thing. I love the C7, but I see the resemblance everyone is bitching about.

People bitch that the side glass looks like a GTR. I think the features that make everyone say "Ferrari" are the grill (which obviously takes inspiration from the C1, but looks vaguely similar to the F12) and especially the headlights. But the fact everyone comes up with a different answer just goes to show that the resemblance is vague at best.

Thanks for sharing! Love seeing the Torch Red out in a real life condition like that. Still looks as good as under auto show lights.

I found out today that Rick Hendrick called Dave Ressler (the guy who bought the VIN001 ZR1) and asked him not to bid on the VIN001 C7.
Long story short, I will be meeting Mr. Ressler in the near future. That's all I will say for now.....
