Anybody paint their stock wheels?
First, I'm new so if I asked this in the wrong place, mods, feel free to relocate it. I'm looking at a white 85with red guts and stock wheels. I'm thinking they would look good painted matte black with polished edges. Or, all black with red edges. Has anybody done it? (I did post up in the intro section too.) Tony

Yeah lots of guys have I'm failing to find a picture at the moment but yes. Regular paint procedures should be followed and a good paint will make it last. Yes you can use spray can and have it last.

painted wheels
hi, welcome to the forum. Yes I painted the stock wheels on my 84. Painted them black and a red stripe around the outer bead. I think they look OK

Those turned out looking pretty good. Never liked the style of the 84-87 wheels but in black with the red stripe they are kind of growing on me. I might steal your idea on one in the future if I dont buy "a" molds.

I think they look quite a bit better than OK. It's exactly what I was thinking, red stripe and all. You da man.

Those look good. I would paint they wheel weights black though, it kinda throws off the look of the red stripe.

You could use that to coat your wheels then if you want to go back just peel it off.
