Noticed the vert doesn't have the vents on top of the rear quarter panels. Wonder why?

I'm guessing because the red car is likely a photoshop and not a real convertible. Click on the picture of the silver car from the side, and then click the "large" button just above the image on the right... you can see the vent just above the gas-filler door.

Hey guys,

It looks like the Silver images are photoshops created by Autoblog.

From the above link:
"we had some artist friends of ours work up our own exclusive renderings that place a silver 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible in a more natural, wind-in-you-hair (or not, in the case of our cue-balled driver) outdoor setting"

Those red "renderings" have really piqued my interest, as nobody has 100% confirmed the source. They are quite well done. For now, it appears the lack of vents are still a mystery.

Lack of vents and smaller rear smaller are because of a non-Z51 model, I think it was Tadge who mentioned in one of the videos that these features were exclusive to the Z51. I'd be willing to bet the red 'vert is a scale model. If you look closely the front grill looks like it is "filled in," like it's all black plastic with the mesh like a toy model.

Z51=vents
Base=no vents

I'm sure the vert will be available in both.

I think the silver car in the autoblog pics is a photoshopped C6. The wheels look like early C6 polished 5 spokes, the calipers are definitely C6, certain angles of the front fascia look like a C6.

Reminds me of my 1989 Dark Red Metallic convertible.

That color will look great with a black canvas top. The black and the burgundy-kinda color make a great contrast.
