Abcnews coverup: No questions to senator on child prostitutes
Good thing this guy isn't a republican... Oh, and this is the same guy who used his influence to "hold" the deportation of an illegal immigrant because the illegal was working on his campaign staff..
On Friday it was revealed that the FBI is investigating Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.) for allegedly sleeping with underage prostitutes in the Dominican Republic.
Despite this, when Menendez was given a six-minute interview with Martha Raddatz on ABC's This Week Sunday, he was not asked one question about the investigation or the allegations (commentary follows with full transcript at end of post):
Raddatz began the interview asking Menendez about what Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) had previously said on the program concerning immigration. She followed this up by asking Menendez what he wanted to hear from the President about this issue.
Next, Raddatz asked Menendez about the controversy surrounding the attack on our consulate in Benghazi, Libya, last year - in particular, how he felt Secretary of State Hillary Clinton did during her testimony before Congress last week.
The next subject Raddatz chose was whether Menendez felt Chuck Hagel would be confirmed as Obama's Secretary of Defense.
Raddatz concluded the interview by asking Menendez about the looming senatorial race in New Jersey between incumbent Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D) and Newark Mayor Cory Booker (D).
With a total of six minutes of air time, Raddatz didn't ask one single question about the FBI's investigation of Menendez.
Can you imagine her ignoring such an issue if she were interviewing a Republican? That probably would have been the first order of business if not the entire six minutes.
As such, why the double standard?

Journalism is dead. When the "journalists" are 90% stacked in favor of one side of a deeply divided nation, EVERYTHING they say is suspect. When "journalists" will routinely treat one party with iron boots and the other with kid gloves, NOTHING they say has any merit, because you can never know how they have spun the news. It's really disgraceful. And I'm not giving FOX a free pass. They do the same thing. But they were founded as a reaction to the decades old system that the other MSM outlets had built. If the other guys had done their job and been objective, instead of just appearing to be objective, FOX news probably would never have happened.

Well according to this story from Fox news today, the FBI will not confirm that there even is an investigation. Another source who said they passed information on to the FBI says they no longer believe the source who made the original alegations.
Sounds like a non-story, and unless you are trying to get a gotcha for partisan reasons why would you ask about an aleged investigation which is denied by the organization who you claim may be investigating him.
Like it or not good news organizations check to make sure stories are true before reporting them.
Here is The latest FOX news stroy, and it is hardly an indictment of Menendez Yet. That is not to say that this could not become a story....it just has not been actualy shown to be true yet.

These paragraphs kind of say it all.
However, Melanie Sloan, executive director of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, confirmed to FoxNews.com that her organization forwarded information on this issue to the FBI's Washington office and Justice Department criminal division on July 17, 2012.
"I believe that they started an investigation based on the information we forwarded," she said. Correspondence between the supposed source and CREW was also posted online this week. Sloan confirmed the authenticity of those emails.
Still, Sloan raised concerns about the credibility of the source, saying she is "increasingly suspicious" about the alleged facts in the case

Well we both know, that if it was a republican, those questions would have been asked and he would have already been convicted in the media.. I remember the made up stories about Bush.. your selective memory seems to forget those.

Let's say it were true for a moment...and there was an active investigation going on...the only comment would be "I can't comment on an ongoing investigation, but the truth will come out." Or something of that nature.
So why even bother asking until there is something to actually talk about?

Not referring to this case, but in general, if you are the left-leaning media questioning a Republican, it would be to lay the groundwork for getting the concept into the public brain regardless of the truth. It's like the old journalistic saw -- ask this question in front of TV cameras whether there have been any allegations or not,... "Senator, is there anything to the allegations you have been cheating on your wife?" No matter what the guy says, no matter how surprised or outraged he is, the idea is out there that he MAY be cheating on his wife even though up until this time, no one has ever made allegations. It's yellow press 101. And the opposite also holds true. Know of a serious allegation and ignore it, and the idea doesn't filter out to the public brain. Now in this case, I have no idea if there are credible witnesses or not. If not, the interviewer did the right thing by not bringing it up.

The truth is that nobody know yet if there is or isn't a story here. The Pubs should be the last ones to bring up a story that in the end may prove to be bullshit.
Now as for asking questions without actualy knowing the truth...all of the media played out Obama's birth certificate, and he played it up like a pro and made everybody who ran with that story look like a jackass. Even thet major networks asked and he simply defered. But what the major networks didn't do was constantly run the nuts day and night like Fox did....and I think it hurt Foz's credibility badly.
That is probably why FOX is not running with this story....you can only cry wolf so many times.
Oh and as for attacking Bush with bullshit....ask Dan Rather how well that worked for him.

The truth is every organization has bias and highlights the stories it wants to, quotes the sources it wants to, and ignores the stories it wants to. The dirty little secret the left will never own up to is that FOX is the only right-leaning major news network and ALL the rest lean left. So the left has a big advantage in getting their angle reported to the average American couch potato.

Liberals hate everything...even themselves...they even coined the term, 'self-loathing'.

All anyone has to do is watch the soft ball interview that
ABC's Steve Kroft did with Obama & Hillary to understand
how much lamestream media is in the tank for loony
liberals. The media used to try to hide their liberal
agenda but now they don't seem to mind putting
up front & center. It's pathetic!!!

All have been paid off to disclose bullshitt.
You want the truth what is really taking place daily,
Tune in on Alex Jones on a Shortwave radio.
He is red blooded Texan-American.
Or checkout his website.
Tune in on 4 -9 Mega cycle band. All Christian stations
Play him nightly from 8pm to 12am. Sometimes till 2 am.
Even the black Southern Baptists are speaking up against bam bam bama. Just have to tune in on shotwave & listen.
