I Like...
Both....but the one's on the C7 are more expressive, more angry, more "don't mess with me..." . IMHO

I don't know, the round ones remind me of "Terminator" eyes.

The round lights are flat, two dimensional. The new lights have depth and do indeed look "mean". That was my wife's comment to me as soon as she saw the back end. It has much more attitude than with the round lights.
"You think you can pass me? Go ahead, make my day."

I'm getting used to the taillights; it's the lines I'm not too crazy about...it's just too damn busy back there.
I do see aftermarket conversions for round taillights on the horizon for those who don't like them....somebody will make a killing

That first image split really seals it for me. The C7 does NOT have Camaro taillights.

C3 C6 Norm, thank you SO much for doing this!!
I've waited for someone to do this for the last two weeks... and I've come to the conclusion that the taillights, although NOT my favorite, aren't that bad after all.
I guess you would have to understand that, for me, it was the round taillight design that first drew me to the Corvette in the 1980's when I was in highschool. That clean, crisp design of the C4 ending in those awesome simple round taillights was what did it for me!

You can only have it one way, America... individual freedom or big government. Which is it going to be? |

Thanx for the pics.
I'm getting used to the taillights as they are but the second one there looks good, the last doesn't do it for me at all and I don't think the C7 are the same as the Camaro5 taillights.
But the middle does look mean. I'll have to think a bit more which I prefer between the C7 ones and the ones in the middle.

Nice artwork. The white vet has best proportions. Seems to smooth out the whole back side. Maybe even smaller round tail lights.?? I guess I'll back my Vet into my parking space initially. Ha!

I agree, looking at the side by side comparison should help end the hand wringing over the change from round lights.

Like or hate the new tail lights they are way better than either of the round ones offered up in those photoshops.

Not to hijack this thread but the taillights don't bother me. Its the 2" longer body, 1" longer wheelbase, and higher curb weight that dissapoints me (I read that somewhere and if true )

I agree, the tail lights are not my cup of tea but shit they didn't design this car for me. I think that the added curb weight we'll see when chevy releases final numbers is what gets the fire stoked again. Luxury interiors cost money and weight.

The round lights seem out of place with this rear end. I actually like the original design better. I am eating my words thinking I would prefer round. Just my humble opinion.
