New From NW Ohio
Hello all,
I'm from NW Ohio, I have a 1979 L82 4-SPD with T-tops. I acquired the car from a guy in Toledo, Ohio this fall and am the 4th owner. C3's are what created my love and obsession for the Corvette. My family also has a '74 Stingray convertible that started it all for me. My '79 has the original L82 engine and 4-speed in it. The engine was rebuilt and had some internal modifications (specs are unknown) done to it by the second owner as well as having a lot of interior and exterior modifications done to it too. I know a little about the cars history as the previous owner worked for the second owner but I do not know as much as I would like. It has ACI body panels (Front clip, hood, rear bumper and spoiler) which are believed to have been done by ACI. It came with Asanti Tru Spokes for rims which need cleaned up and possibly re-dipped (most likely will not stay on the car). It needs a paint job also. The car was customized by the second owner and then he let it sit for 20+ years until the guy I acquired it from purchased it and replace all the calipers and rotors and then he lost interest in it. Hoping to learn more about the car as well as connecting with other owners.

Welcome to the Electron Blue screen of Corvette therapy, DC.
Lots of C3's here and many of us are also past C3 owners. My 1st was also a 79, waaaaaaaay back.......which I still have visitation rites.
There also seams to be alot of us South of Wolverine country and North of the "Horseshoe" that spend our winters here while our rides are hibernating from the potholes and road salt
Welcome to the neighborhood

Why is it easier to be a conservative than a liberal? Because it is easier to give a man the finger than a helping hand. At the same time I also believe that I should lend a helping hand from my own pocket not everyone else's pocket. |

Thank you for the warm welcome. I will post pictures soon for everyone to see. Hopefully I can get the body painted next winter and it will look great then. I plan to enjoy it regardless of the fade paint and such that it currently has.

I added photos to My Garage and to My Corvette Pictures. If anyone knows anything about the ACI body panels, the car itself or anything just let me know. Thanks.
