There is also one on the top of the fuel tank and usually one stuffed in the "k" member. I would look for the one on the tank first ( if the console has no sticker). Looks as though you have some reading to do now. If you get stuck or have questions there are many here on DC that can help, Alot of very smart knowlageable people here. Saved my butt many times. Now I try to repay the favor by helping where I can.

Cool beans! The sticker is there. Lots of numbers. I needed a flashlight and a better pair of reading glasses. I'll be 53 in april and eyesight is only the tip of the iceburg. However, I'm still game and I'm still in the game.

Once you get them written down you can go here to look them up and decipher what they mean.

My 86 ended up being delivered to Spain with no european saftey equipment. All kinds of interesting and useful info in those codes.
Post any questions and we can help.

The original post is concerning an 84. Do they apply to my 90 just the same?

Great story about your trip, wedgeheaded; I'll bet it was quite the adventure, and the joy of ownership is just sinking in.
Congrats....
