Help needed to find OBD location

On a 2004 GMC Savana Van (same thing as a Chevy Express Van) I tryed on my own first searching the internet and all I'm getting is frustration! I know the OBDII is supposed to be under the driver's side dash, but I just cannot see it. Can anyone find a picture for me?

Maybe a small pop off inspection panel it's hiding behind

try this.......

they are typically located at the right or left side of the steering
column under the dash at the sound panel. Look at the sound
panel and you will see a hole in the panel and the connector
should be visible.

its tucked under the dash on the left.It was just farther back than I thought.

Thanks 92Roadster. The charts that Grumpy has says it's under the steering column and to the left, but it's not there. Under the entire left side there is only one connector and it is half the size of the OBD connector. I'm going to pull the sound panel off and see what is behind it. It's like the old days when you could pop the hood from the outside. Some cars didn't allow much room to see the lever or to get your hand that far in - but you knew it was there!
