Hello everyone.
Its been a few months since I been here because I been out driving my car.

I am no longer in York Pa. I drove my car down to the space coast of Fl.
Replaced the alternator belt because it was bad. It had a section on the belt that was weak therefore it caused the belt to stretch.
It was noticeable when headlights were on.
While changing a leaking valve cover gasket two of my housemates who claim there fathers were automotive mechanics said that my motor oil was toast because it smelled burnt. Only had 2500 miles on it. High speed highway miles and some stop go traffic.
Changed motor oil from 5w-30 to 10w-40 with a bottle of lucas. This quieted the valve train noise to not audible.
The one housemate said that my number 8 cylinder push rod was bent. I do not know how he could tell because there is only one inch of push rod exposed.
Ok, now for the reason I am writing. After my car was drive able, before it passed inspection there was and still is an intermittent popping with vibration coming from the rear of the car when I am starting off from just having stopped. Going very slow.
It did not present itself when getting inspected and I could never get it to rear its ugly head when someone was with me.
I had one of my housemates listen to it and he said it sounded like universal joints. So I had a second opinion and a fellow at an independent garage said it could be.
I had the car put on the lift and trans in neutral you could not
rotate drive shaft. The mechanic checked the passenger rear tire wheel for binding by turning tire clockwise and counter clockwise and it was quiet.
The mechanic did this to the drivers side rear and he said it was harder. So he removed wheel to inspect caliper. Out of curiosity I grasped the inner and outer brake pads on the passenger rear caliper, they slightly moved.
I repeated this for the drivers side rear and the pads were tight. The mechanic used some channel locks to push the pads back slightly. Then the mechanic was able to turn the drive shaft effortlessly.
We both thought that the caliper was not releasing.
The mechanic checked the uj in the drive shaft and the half shafts and found they were in good condition.
I contacted the caliper manufacture and they sent me a new one on warranty.
I put the new caliper on yesterday and bleed the brakes.
I then went for a road test. The problem is still there.
I do not have any tools, or jacks and jack stands and a proper place to work on this nor do I have good help.
Since I have out of state tags I do not want to be raped or taken advantage of.
Is there anyone near Merritt Is, that can help me.
I am not employed so I have plenty of time.
Thank you every one!

PS. does any one know or think what it could be?
When I had my TA out I had the half shafts supported by wire. I checked the end play on the half shafts and both sides had 3/16 0f an inch. Using a mirror I could see that there was not any wearing of the case where the yokes went into the case.
