Its not about wanting to kill the guy....its just that he is a loud mouthed bravadoed chest thumping douche that is being exposed as a bit of a hypocrite. Gotta love it though, he rode that fame train as long as he could.

I don't get it. Ted never claimed to be Rambo. He is an avid hunter and supporter of the 2nd amendment. How does being a draft dodger like millions of young men in the 60's make him a hypocrite? Sure, he puts up a macho image. But that's his outdoorsy, hunter image - not Rambo. You guys are too hard on him. Is he the only blowhard rock star any of you have ever seen? Damn. Put him on stage with his guitar turned up to 11 and I'll be there any day!

Had to pick up the kid from daycare.
He upchucked 10 feet & horrified everyone.
Home again.
Its fucking stupid.
Ted Nugent & Roy are 62 to 70 years old now.
Ted is 65 years old. How the fuck are you really going to draft him ?
My dad was drafted during Vietnam. 1965.
He never ranted about Ted Nugent.
He could give a fuck less.
My old Nieghbor I grew up next too, his dad was a US Marine in Vietnam.
When I was 6 years old, he took my brother & me & his son Jerry & showed his collection of "GOOOK EARS" he cut off the corpses he killed & brought back home. Kept them in a wooden box. At least 50 ears in that box.
He was real hardcore.
Bad ass dude.
A cop too.
Morale is, want someone dead, do not rant on DC News Room or elsewhere on the Net.
Just go do it & shut up.

I'm confused???
Are you describing Nugent or the machine?

That's a great point. All the lefties think they've found a point to parry against a right wing supporter. If I had some time, I'd could probably come up with at least 100 left wing draft dodgers or service bullshitters...Off the top of my head, Blumenthal from Connecticut.
excerpt the CTMirror:
Quote:
Blumenthal frequently and accurately refers to his stateside service as a Marine reservist during the Vietnam War, but The Times found him twice referring to having served in Vietnam and also described him as the beneficiary of hard-to-get draft deferments.
"We have learned something important since the days that I served in Vietnam," Blumenthal told veterans and others in Norwalk in March 2008

article here
Where was the outrage then? So, I gotta laugh at the intent and chalk it up to misguided animosity.

....well from all indications paranoia is alive and well, I think
for those that seem to interpreted the posting of anit-nugent
articles as a tool of action against Ted Nugent you need to
take a step back and remind yourself it is just a discussion..
....indications point to myself as making a unreasonable attack
on Ted Nugents "poster child" image I believe your reasoning
is unfounded, if you were to re-read those post given the mind
set during those years of rebellion and given my own life
experiences at that same age, it is more than reasonable for
me to believe it is true...
....after reading that a ex-marine has a collection of human
body parts I feel dismayed and hurt for this man for what he
must have experienced to lead him to do this is the biggest
hurdle for ones ability to control emotions in any life
threatening situation, PTSD has a very powerful effect on
your reasoning ability....
....there is no "morale", it is the venue that people share to
listen to and review other materials that sometimes slip
between the cracks that even I had not thought about
considering....
....I suggest that walking or turning away from an issue is a
better outcome than trying to incite someone to take violent
action....
....I look at the posts, and think when an attack is made
against the Office of POTUS here on DC, there is no difference
in what you have posted in the past, my disappointment is
by an individual that at a young age of has made millions
and decides he is not going to become one of the many main
stream young adults that put their life on the line whither
they believe in the war not and not address his calling as a
man, well lets give thanks that other young soldiers paid the
ultimate price in his place so he could continue playing music
and enjoy the fruits of his labor...
....well as walleyfisher put it; "I will cut him some slack 18ys
old was a long time ago for him and he never has bashed this
country", just for the fact that he consider himself above those
that served in Nam was a "bash" against those that did and
those that paid the price, these are the same people that
never acknowledged or welcomed home us returning
Americans, it is all those idiosyncrasies that culminate a
a different viewing of him as a spokes person.....

For me, ok, I get it. You don't like Ted Nugent. What else you got? I really like the Caturday stuff.

...actually, you didn't get it.....what it is, is using Ted
Nugent as a spokesperson for the NRA for rights and freedom
given his background and family values....

I could use the same argument regarding the current president, couldn't I?

Now that the military is about to take huge cuts I don't think I will be persuing the reenlistment thing. I already work law enforcement, so I can take a bullet anyday. There are more crazies here than overseas.
As far as high profile, do you remember Pat Tillman? He was a professional footbal player killed in Afganistan. Now as far as royalty, like British or American, yes they do have ways of serving without actually serving.

Well come on now, Obama has the village idiot Joe Biden running around telling everyone that my Ar15 can shoot down airplanes..
So using Joe Biden as the spokesman for Obama's gun control, considering his lack of gray matter and general Frank Drebin (Naked Gun) intellect.. is at least on the same level, if not worse.

...I have to give you a lot of respect for even entering the
Law Enforcement Field, I personally would have prefer taking
military enlistment over LEO by today's events...
...maybe I should have said absolute high profile, but sorry
I did not and do not know Mr. Tillman or his background....
