Rejected C5 Design Used for C7!
Refined, yes, but new? Apparently not! And apparently not influenced by the Camaro at all!
Found this on another forum. I don't know anything about this concept. First I have ever seen of it. If anyone knows anything, I'd love to add it to my website http://corvette-concepts.tripod.com
EDIT: This is from "All Corvettes Are Red", it's a rejected C5 design.

Apparently this is in the book "All Corvettes are Red" and it was a rejected design for the C5!

The taillights, rear deck lid, quarter window, exhaust outlets all are strikingly similar to C7.
I wish there was more images of this.

Obviously, whoever came up with that concept had a time machine, traveled more than a decade into the future, and then based the design on a 5th gen Camaro. It's the only logical explanation.

I've got All Corvettes Are Red. I do not recall the red car in your pic being in it. This car is mentioned.
I'll take another look this evening.

Great find Chris!
Now this is what I was asking. Seems like there is the answer. It screams from a distance that the C7 design is OLDER

Only one shot in book, center color photo spread, page 2 at the bottom.
There is a reason it was rejected.
Can't wait to see if someone from the C7 design team writes a comparable book, just to find out what they were smoking to come up with such a exclusive, unparalleled, iconic design the Vette truely deserves.

So, the C7 is safe now because the lights were used on a Corvette concept BEFORE the Camaro, right? Right? Order has been restored and all that?

That concept looks like a strange Audi 350Z mix.
